4 Configuration

Configuring the 8620 DET consists of the following:

• Configuring the RS-232 Com port (Com 1, 2, 3, and 4)

• Configuring the RS-485/422 or RS-232 Com port (Com 2)

• Configuring the DET.Config File

Note Com 2 is a dual protocol port that can be an RS-232 or an RS-485/422 communi-

cations protocol set by jumper J3 on the single board computer (see Figure 4-1

above) as shown in Table 4-1.
